Lit. Love:

Arrr maties, tha Captain sadly be drownin' in work again and has asked me t' do tha Lit. Love fer a while. He be mighty sorry fer not doin' this on saturday and t' make up fer it we'll be postin' Lit. Love fer 3 days in a row. Also, cause I'm doin' tha Lit. Love, tha comments won't be as in-depth as tha Captain's ^^; Anyway so here are tha features fer today:

- This piece is quite interesting, I like how it was written
A Cure For Writer's BlockWhen your pen hits the paper and nothing comes out
With a full cartridge, something's about.
Sitting there lonely staring off into space
You've got Writer's Block mate, it's a terrible case
The symptoms are some of the worse things to *bare
If left untreated, might as well say a prayer.
Diagnosing the problem is the first step to take
So let's get it started before it's too late.
Do you find yourself doing, the things you've put off?
Or watching TV late at night till you cough?
Dusting and cleaning. Hunting for food.
Surfing the net since you've found yourself glued.
Hanging out with friends all night long?
Getting them together for a night on the Town.
Or lying in bed staring off into space
Tossing something up till it hits you in the face.
This list of symptoms can go on and on
Keeping you busy for weeks, whilst mentally withdrawn.
Now on to the cure which you'll see,
It's really quite simple like *growing a tree
To Block means to stop, the ideas from flowing.
Get this barrica
- I can really relate to this poem, I'm sure many of you can too. I love the style used.
:thumb321022339: - I must say, this one is very deep. I can relate to this one a lot.
You Judge MeYou judge me,
you're cruel.
You know me,
you fool!
You look at my skin
or wether I'm thin.
But beauty is only skin deep
Seriously, how do you sleep?
People are skinny, thinking they're fat!
People are caged,
and you are a rat.
They're caged in their sorrows,
their worries,
'cause they believe in your shadow
of words.
You judge me,
your cruel.
You know me,
you fool!
- I love this one, it's far too true. I also like the way it was written.
And then there were noneAnd then there were none,
None of those I sent for you,
You little sideline of my life.
There were none anymore,
Not a single petal to cover your face,
Not a single faith to crumble time's mace.
At the dead of August, at the advent of peace,
Words like mine will never ever miss,
Miss the chance to kiss, kissing in the bliss…
And then there were none,
Standing tall and still.
Standing, falling one by one…
There were none anymore,
Not a single world for you to consume
Not a single word for me to conjure.
At the dead of summer, insanity's eclipse
Words like these shall try to bring in peace,
Peace of mind, of soul, of us.
And then there were no more dreams to share
And then there was this dark barrier of air
And then it broke and then you died
And then I fell down, I broke and I cried…
- This piece is very emotional and I enjoyed reading it.
:thumb320998879: - This may be short but it has a lot of meaning behind it, it's a brilliant haiku.
Half a Dozen RosesHalf a dozen roses
sitting in a vase
every time I see them
i see your smiling face
Half a dozen roses
white and silky smooth
a very treasured gift
from a very treasured you
Half a dozen roses
never gonna fade
I may keep them forever
until the end of days
Half a dozen roses
may not mean a lot
but they are simply priceless
the most important thing I've got
Half a dozen roses
sitting in my room
the only thing I could want more
is absolutely wonderful you
- I cannot express how much I love this piece, it's so beautiful and emotional.

Tha Captain's rules for lit. love are:
- I feature ONLY original content
- I don't feature works that use a cover image (because I believe words can hold their own)
- I don't feature works that are already popular (I mean, they made it already right?)

So if ye don't see a piece up here in lit. love, chances are it fell into one of the categories above. Don't forget t' spread tha love fer the words we live and breathe!
