Sweet bird you lived your life in a cage,
Black forces, burned you all away...
How could I sit by and watch you die?
Sleep soundly on the bed where you used to lie.

Your legs and your arms were bleeding,
Burned stump on the night, were you crying?
How sweet was the sound of you dying?
In pools of blood, were you smiling?

Sweet bird you lived your life in a cage,
I wondered, how I used to hate...
Your life and your sweetness inside,
I took your life on that cold night...

Crying all these tears of weakness,
Sweet bird you took on my sickness.
Deep inside of the forest of witches,
You lie in the darkest ditches...

Sweet bird you lived your life in a cage,
Now I'm filled with a horrid and empty rage.
