Literature Text
I remember playing fool thinking my life was easy.
I remember walking down along the path laid before me.
But what do I do now when I know that the path has changed?
And all I'm left with is paper dreams; blood, sweat and tear-stained!
I regret being a foolish individual,
I never worked hard enough to be admissible,
Despite what my folks always did for me,
I always took it for granted like an idiot; thinking my life's free.
But now I've come to terms with the pain in front of me,
Even if I wish I was a better man, that's shit that I can't be.
But if you think I'm just going to sit here crying;
I won't be the last ragdoll that the lord left lying.
If all I have is my tongue, then that's what's left to work,
I'm scared about the future, those problems hurt.
But I know what I've got is what I'll put on this paper,
So I won't be putting away my tomorrow for later.

Shit.
Shit.
I unintentionally use it almost every day.
In a sudden hiccup, I slip up and it slips out.
Even when I can’t think of anything else to say.
You can bet beyond a shadow of a doubt.
That exact word will seep and creep out.
It makes its way into any given conversation.
It’s probably the most used default abbreviation.
It requires no effort and rolls out with no hesitation.
It’s so universal it can be suited to every situation.
In an upsurge it will emerge with no indication.
How can one word have so many definitions.
And still have the same effect despite its repetition.
How can this same word blur all the lines of di

Oh you're were kid from school
that robbed them fools
that messed with that little girl
'cause the homies do that.
Yeah, pass her like a blunt.
Daddy's was the run.
"Lover this ain't real."
Fuck it that's how she feel.
How you gon' be a star bruh,
This the most you ever spoke. bruh.
But you keep your chin up
With a rope and neck hung.
Made your momma scream
When she found your note
On the kitchen counter
With all the blood around ya.
you ruled this suburban town.
You're were the man around.
Make the shots like Kubrick.
There was room for two
Right here in this closet, but nah.
Your brother crying now.
Your sister crying out.
Your parents cr

Left Waiting
"First the ring, yes the ring"
She knew mustn't forget it
Sliding it on her finger might sting
But she knew he'd love the sentiment,
"Then the pearls , yes the pearls"
Though they no longer glistened in the light
He'd still see they were as beautiful
As when he had bought them that night,
"Oh yes the bracelet, that will look nice"
She could hardly remember the jewelry he liked
But she needn't worry, mustn't worry
For she would see him tonight
"Oh what else, what else, what else can I wear
After all this time I'll finally see my dear
And I must look my most beautiful,
Perhaps there's something for my ears"
She thought looking at an empty jewel

My dear Chennies and Chennettes,
I present to you one of the realest poems I've ever written. This is something utterly close to my heart and that's why I chose to write it in more of an urban/rap style, since that is what I started my poetic journey with.
As always there is a youtube video to go along with it and I would really appreciate it if you just took the time to play the video, even if you don't stay till the end, those views are how I intend to earn my money, so that 1 minute of your time means everything to me.
I also didn't use any voice distortion in this piece, because I was reciting it in my urban accent and it sounds very different to my normal speaking voice.
I hope you enjoy!
