The Pirate SolsticeThe Pirate Solstice:

There is tale around the Galbin Coast,
Of a black ship that appeared on the Winter Solstice.
It arrived at a town near Bismarch,
Struck heavily by famine and crop plagues.

The ship drifted silently upon the ocean currents,
Not a creak nor groan could be heard from its frame.
It docked at the port like an ominous reaper's vessel;
A metallic boarding ramp - much like a daemon's tongue -
Slithered slowly from its deck to meet with wooden jetty.

The crew descended, wearing black cloaks and black hats,
Fedoras, I believe they were called.
These figures made little noise as they moved,
walking slowly, silently and

We are dreamers, we humans.

We reach out eagerly to that which lies above us
Tempted by its unattainable nature and egotistically;
We simplify the task that lies before us...

As The Skies PartedAs The Skies Parted:

As the clouds in the skies parted and fire rained to the earth
The soft keening of the voices trapped within the abyss
resounded throughout the empty plains, as the world prepared itself
to meet a fate no worse than complete and utter oblivion.

The waters turned red with blood and bubbled with a poisonous brew
Whilst the creatures of the mountains, mutated into vicious monstrocities
A pall of darkness, settled around the Earth like a cloak of shadows
and in its grip we knew the true fury of a God gone mad.

Hundreds were slain by the rocks that pummelled the ground
As they fell from the heavens like burning stars

A Navigator's TreasureA Navigator's Treasure:

For she who watches the tides of the sea
For she who guides the weary ship.
There is no greater treasure for her
Than a scroll of an ancient writ...

This artifact that we did find
Was stolen from a dragon's behind
Plucked it out from the creature's rear
whilst it nestled the egg that it held dear

So gold and fine was this glorious egg
That soon my mind began to renege
It was filled with thoughts of gold and riches
So tangible that I nearly pissed me britches

Me accent soon began to change
I thought like a thug who was most deranged
Gamblin' at tables would be might fine
With an egg of such a rich design

What is this long-lost memory inside?
Where oceans turn; what have we left behind
With star-burned wings out above the sky.
The sleeping sons are lovingly left to lie...

A thousand tears you've cried for all,
Now its time for you to fall!

From the memory awoken;

I close my eyes, as the black smoke fills the air.
Incense burned to create a semi-choking sensation.
A tiny inkling of the perceived suffering,
But it is enough to make this difficult...

Next, wounds are carefully opened.
Patterns carved into the flesh,
Resembling the nine circles of suffering.
As each begins to form a red river,

An ocean pools beneath my stained elbows.

In the distance I hear the cackling of witches;
Accompanied always by the mad shrieks of those beyond.
Already they can taste the red wine that I ooze
And eagerly, their tongues wag; anticipating the feast.

It Came From The DarkIt Came From The Dark:

Amongst the ashes, swirling from the darkness of the pit,

Emerged a hand, dragging a battered body across the rocks.

Blood leaked from the wounds so callously self-inflicted,

And teeth ground with a focused determination and seething anger.

It cared not for the warm rubies - staining the jagged rocks,

It cared not for the sensation of pain...

All that it remembered was a dream, An obsession -

One that drove it ever higher; ignoring all else!

Eventually it emerged from this shadowy hole, this dreary depth,

And in that moment, it learned of the truth.

For this creature, denied sunlight and warmth -

was me...

The PoetThe Poet:

He smiles as he sees her sleeping
& gently covers her with a blanket.
He goes to the window and looks out
watching snow fall, ever so slowly...

He sees people in the streets,
Chatting, walking. Some happy,
Others sad. Hearts beating,
Hearts broken; some warm, some cold.

He looks back at her, as she stirs in bed.
A yawn from her, brings another smile to him:
"How cute," he chuckles as he strokes her head.
He runs his fingers through her hair and is content.

Yet, even if he is happy here, again -
He is drawn to that window and finds himself
Staring out at the street and watching;
Marveling at the disparity and wonderin

They're all reminders of who I used to be
What I used to do and how I used to live
But that man just isn't me anymore;
And I need a chance that only you can give

I'm trying my hardest to change for better

The Human Solution:

Ladies and gentlewolves, I come before you today,
To speak on an issue that is close to our hearts.
For many centuries, we Wolves have struggled;
Continuing to seek a final solution to 'the Human Problem'.

Many of you might have heard of the horror stories,
Of these furless creatures lurking in the outer reaches.
Some cities have found them living in underground caverns;
Preying upon the young pups that stray too close to their nests.

It is sad, to say the least, but that sorrow ends today;
For it is my privilege and honour as Chairman of Lycanthropes United,
To unveil our newest means of combating this parasitic pandemic.

Three months ago our top scientist, Doctor Uriel Whitetail,
Discovered a particular genetic weakness in the Human cell structure,
When sprayed with this particular gas, 'Cynofium',
The human cells stop producing an important chemical;

Causing a quick death in mere moments...

As of today our soldiers are already prepared,
They will begin delivering this 'antidote',
To all areas considered to be heavily infected.

Within five months, I have every reason to believe,
That the Human threat will be completely eradicated.

Remember this day my fellow wolves...

Remember this moment and these words!

For on this day we rid ourselves of the planet's greatest disease!

Hail Ulfgar and hail to the Wolven Pride!

Ladies and Gentlewolves,

First, the difficult news. I learnt today that when journals are on the front page lit. goes nowhere since we share the spot, which is a pity since I was praying I'd get a little more advertising, but no matter. I shall counter that with grit and tenacity.

Although it would have been nice if the release went off with a bang, I suppose I'll just have to try that much harder on every other day :grin: After all that means more lit. for all of you and more of a chance to sharpen my claws. I shall begin preparations IMMEDIATELY.

In any case, this poem is just something I did after getting e-mailed that article by DA on the Faux Propaganda. It piqued my interest and so I wanted to do something similar, but through a written piece of art.

It strikes me as amazing how easily a speech like this game to mind...the whole propaganda thing can be easy to spread if you've a glib tongue and a good sense of strange presence...

Anyway, I'd best sign off here. Plenty to do and plenty more works to present to the world, I won't be satisfied until I've satisfied all of you ^^

Awesome poem

can just picture the wolves plotting.

And it is true that propaganda is very easy to make once you've learned a few tricks. I myself really enjoy writing propaganda because you can get all out in your writing style ^_^. True that the easiness can be scary too but well if you stick to fantasy objects or trying to sell books I am not going to worry
