Sit down for a second,
Because I want to tell you something.
I want to tell you and everybody else that walked over me.
That today, I have become something!
Just walk with me for a second,
I want to show you something.
You remember this; is it all falling into place?
Cause this is where you shut me down.
Now I didn't know what I was supposed to do;
Excuse me for being a loser, right?
I had to work up a lot of courage to ask you out.
But you didn't even look at anything beneath the surface.
So of course, you just flipped me off and walked away.
Thank you.
Because of you I went to the gym every single day.
Because of you I started lifting iron over my head.
And you know what it feels pretty damn good to be getting my pump.
Yeah, that's something that you did for me!
And now, over to my phone,
Let's call up Michael.
'ey Michael,
What up man?
You remember me?
Yeah, I'm the guy who could never fit in!
That kid who wasn't a part of your little writer's club.
What was it that you said to me?
Oh yeah, let me give it to you in the accent:
"Dear sir, we regret to inform you that we do not take individuals,
Who have unfortunately shown themselves to be sub-par in the English language.
Please try again after you've attended an actual English course."
Damn man, that was harsh.
But you know what?
Thank you.
Because of you, my art became something.
Let me just level with you for a second.
I practised nearly four or five hours a day.
And yeah, my English was bad.
I didn't have the benefit of an elite 'edjumacation' like you did.
But I practised.
Day and night, I worked so hard that I was losing sleep.
Be it sick, tired, whatever; I made my words come to life.
I can't recall how many times, I flipped through a dictionary,
Searched on-line; desperately trying to learn some new words and phrases.
And you know what?
I'm the one who's finally doing it!
I'm doing all the things that you dreamed of doing;
I'm doing all the things which you always talked about doing.
But it's all the things that you ain't never going to be doing.
So my last message,
Is to all those people out there.
To all the people whom they said:
"Can't do it, never going to do it; never will do it."
I want you all to place a hand over your hearts and repeat after me.
I will never be an incredible individual,
But that ain't bad.
I may not be the best individual,
But I could be good.
I don't need a shining medal,
I don't need my name on a roll of honour.
Because I will earn my own medal.
I will earn my place in the history books.
History is going to remember me,
As the one guy, that one girl,
Who worked so damn hard at what they did,
That one day, they finally made it.
Because those people,
Who are crazy enough to dream;
Who are crazy enough to think that they can change this world,
Are often the ones that do.
And that's what I want you all to remember,
Because at end of the day.
Only you can write the ending to your own story.
And mine, I'm hoping, is going to be pretty bad ass.
Peace...

You Don't Know Your Daughter At All
Just because she is no longer in a cradle
Does not mean that your baby wont fall
And if you think that her smile means she is happy
Then you don’t know your daughter at all
On arriving home from school she runs up the stairs
And locks herself away in her room
It’s so easy to think that it’s just teenage angst
That will pass in time and be gone soon
Perhaps you assume that it is just boy trouble
A romance that will soon be forgot
Yes, maybe her problems are just a passing phase
But then again what if they are not
What if they’re deep rooted in the parental soil
That you’ve been failing to cultivate
As she grow

Hey Remember Me?
Hey remember me?
I'm lonely
Without anyone to talk to,
Yeah we met last week
I'm so glad
You actually remembered me.
Hey remember me?
I'm happy
That we could hang out.
I know it might
Seem a bit strange to ask
But are we friends?
Yeah?!
Thank goodness
Now I can be at ease
You’re really here with me
It wasn't just a tease.
Hey remember me?
I'm weird
Just a little bit though
I thought you liked me
Because of that
Because of the way I am
Right?
Hey remember me?
I'm trying
To keep up a smile
But it’s getting pretty hard
Because every once in awhile
It seems like all you want
Is for me to cry.
Is that what a friend does?
Hey rem

I Don't Want To Say I Love You
I don't want to say "I love you",
Because my words will make it real
Make my love for you actual
Palpable and ,worst of all, breakable.
My love would manifest itself
Like a sheet of glass between us
That you could shatter with
The slightest touch.
I don't want to say "I love you",
Because those words don't show
The truth to you
They don't show how important
You truly are to me
That I want to wake up every day
And fall asleep every night
With you by my side .
I don't want to say "I love you",
Because you might return
the same words to me.
And we would love together
Our hearts growing as one
But tragedy might strike
And you might be taken fr

This was a commission for the lovely miss - She appears to be mostly into photography and is an incredibly kind person. Check her out if you can (^_^)/
Anyway, about the poem itself. She asked me to write something motivational, something about how one overcomes rejection and difficulty in life and grows to become something. So I wrote about my experiences.
When I was a teen and fresh into writing. I once wrote a story to show a couple of my close friends. It got passed to these guys that read it out in front of everyone...it was freakin' embarassing. I didn't even know what to say so I just smiled like a fool and say yeaaaah it's all good (^_^)/
(=_=;; ) Well, it is kinda thanks to that though that I got an amazing friend who supported my writing. She told me I would definitely be good if I kept at it because I was insanely creative and I could imagine things that other people couldn't. Unsurprisingly I was a total dick to her and I completely regret that.
So y'know maybe someday if my writing gets famous enough she'll see it and then I can finally talk things out with her. Just say I'm sorry y'know. Ah well, LIVE THE DREAM CHEN xD
Ewww, long description is long. Let's just end this the usual way.
If ever you want flash fiction or poetry commissioned, feel free to hire me (^_^)/
just ask about the point commissions, details are in my journal (o3o)
