321 (who?)
If you tell me you're fine,
Then I won't question it.

I won't ask you about the cuts,
Or the bruises.

I'll turn a blind eye to everything...

Instead I'll ask that you join me tonight,
And maybe we'll cook ourselves a little supper.

Maybe you'd like to stay over? It'd be cool!
We'll watch a movie, play a few games.

C'mon you know how much I suck at monster hunter,
Be my wingman--er, lady tonight

And in the morning, let's go for a walk,
There's a huge park just a short distance away.

We could go on one of those nature trail things!
Hell yeah? Hell yeah!

And maybe, after you've had some time to think,
You'll see that things ain't quite as bad as you thought.

And if one day isn't enough to convince you,
Then I'm going to try again tomorrow.

Hell yeah? Hell yeah!

Piece four of the creative rush.

I see a lot of people doing the 'I'm fine' type of poems, but I wanted to try something a little more encouraging than that.

Makes me feel so much better that there are people like you out there :) I spend lots of time thinking like this towards others, hoping that i could really turn their "I'm fine" into reality. You deserve a fav :D
"i'm fine" or "i'm ok" two biggest lies on the planet most of the time
This just makes my soul feel a little lighter. Thanks for this, Cap'n. A friend like the narrator would be the best kind.
Lovely. I like how the 'll turn a blind eye to everything , just after the first 4 verses, sounds almost heartless, until the reader realizes it's not indifference, but caring.

That is probably one of the best ways I've heard of,

to handle a friend with depression. That was amazing.

Thank you.

Amazing. There should be more people thinking this way.

I love this. Sometimes little things like that can make all the difference.
