Is it so easy to pull your wire
Out from the inside?

You drank the poison
And lived a lie

Weathering change
Your mind was like stone
But then it started to break...
Now drifting helplessly
You shattered like glass

My Masquerade
~My Masquerade~
For the world I am displayed;
They always watch but cannot see
through my masquerade.
I feel every moment fly;
My heart is beating, pulse racing,
breath held as I lie.
My innocence I can't defend;
I know that surely this will linger
'til my very end.
I brought this all upon myself;
Mask upon mask, lie upon lie
like valueless wealth.
Dare I take these masks off – no!
My former self haunts me
everywhere I go.
False glory, false honor, false fame;
With all these masks I seem to have
forgotten my own name.

We are taught of former glories
The burden of our history
Weighs heavy on infant shoulders
As it does our enemies
But I feel safe and protected
On this the day of the Moon
Unlike the remaining six days
When impending horror consumes
Wind chill woes on the moors this morn
Freedom spoke in a foreign tongue
I did not understand her chants
Percussion did not help her song
The stench of death, the drums of war
In time with the beat my heart gave
History is never written
By the flocks that choose to behave
So raise hell but come together
Unite as we are all the same
Keep the lion's heart within you
Your fiery temper learn to tame

Every Time With The Same Brush
Every time with the same brush
This girl paints so many strokes
Each one speaking of emotions
Louder than the words she wrote
So where does the magic lie,
Allowing this girl's mood to swing?
Is it in the paint or the colours,
The feeling of release it brings?
She lets go of those emotions
That are too painful to express
The open ear of a loved one
Now an empty white canvas
Cathartic is the process
With her dainty little strokes
Thick layers of paint will take us
To land's nobody else knows
Now she paints with love for us
And happiness in her heart
The trees, the flowers, the sunset
The smiles, the eyes, the stars
Every tim

Arrr alright, this be me first remix. Courtesy of Rue
and I'm rather pleased with the way it turned out.
As you can see from the original, I've gone into a more story-like aspect of the whole idea, which is what I tend to do with most works.
The disconnection of one from oneself can represent suicide, but not in a physical sense that leads to death but rather the death of a perceived personality or aspect of oneself that you perceive as tainted or destructive.
Overall it was extremely fun to work with this base and I give it a 4.5/5 star rating ^^
