An Epic Legend:
The skies turned bloody, as the smell of death wafted through the air;
Those yet to be consumed by the madness, stood dumbfounded in the streets
They stared at the sky and into the glimmering eye of Tashorak
Who in the moments of his birth, consumed the stars that surrounded him
The Moon was all that stood in his way, for she would not let her people die
Yet though she fought with all of her might, she too was eventually consumed...
The Sun watched helpless, for he was powerless during the Eternal Night
Yet though he could not act directly; he could send others to act in his stead
The first was an Elf, Auroch Vasira, who pierced the night with his mighty bow
His arrows shot into the empty sky, to shimmer and replace the swallowed stars
The second was a wizard from the human lands, his name was Kurath Damien
With the powers of the Arcane, ancient and pure, he rescued the Moon from death.
It took its place in the sky once more and its glow weakened Tashorak
Its light burned and withered his flesh and the demon screamed with unholy fury
Its roar was an animal cry of pain; a wail of desperation and abject fear
The call was so potent, so powerful and deadly-
that the rivers turned to poison and forests burned in its wake...
But when that happened, a young Druid by the named of Ilkar Oreson
Stood atop the forest canopy and called for the divine light of the Sun
The Sun heeded this call and sent forth his power
It healed the Earth with a warm and soothing light
The Druid became the third of the Sun's champions-
and he called to the animals of the forest for help
The poison in the rivers was cleaned away by the fish
And the bears and deer would turn the fires
The lions led the smaller creatures to safety
Whilst the wolves stood sentinel over the infants and young
Hours passed and Tashorak was weakening
His trembling shudders were felt throughout!
For the mountains shook with every groan
and the Earth split with his cries of pain
Yet still the Demon could not be banished, for none could pierce his hidden heart
Until a young boy, holding a tiny spear, asked for the chance to try.
The Sun agreed and blessed him with might, for he felt a sense of hope in the boy
The boy smiled and whispered to his spear, before he lanced the heart of Tashorak..
As the demon burned and fell back into the abyss
The balance of the world was restored once more.
The Sun then asked the boy for his name
For he intended to honour him eternally!
Yet the boy asked that his name be hidden
A whole to be broken, into pieces of three:
Auroch carried his family's name, engraved upon his mighty bow
Kurath carried his middle name, etched into the base of his staff
Young Ilkar took his first name, and scattered it amongst the forest leaves
And only when the three are brought together, can the Spear of Light be weaved...

History Is Never Made By Those Who Behave
We are taught of former glories
The burden of our history
Weighs heavy on infant shoulders
As it does our enemies
But I feel safe and protected
On this the day of the Moon
Unlike the remaining six days
When impending horror consumes
Wind chill woes on the moors this morn
Freedom spoke in a foreign tongue
I did not understand her chants
Percussion did not help her song
The stench of death, the drums of war
In time with the beat my heart gave
History is never written
By the flocks that choose to behave
So raise hell but come together
Unite as we are all the same
Keep the lion's heart within you
Your fiery temper learn to tame

My Masquerade
~My Masquerade~
For the world I am displayed;
They always watch but cannot see
through my masquerade.
I feel every moment fly;
My heart is beating, pulse racing,
breath held as I lie.
My innocence I can't defend;
I know that surely this will linger
'til my very end.
I brought this all upon myself;
Mask upon mask, lie upon lie
like valueless wealth.
Dare I take these masks off no!
My former self haunts me
everywhere I go.
False glory, false honor, false fame;
With all these masks I seem to have
forgotten my own name.

There is a heart in a ribcage
And a brain sitting in a skull
There is a history that is void
And potential which is null
Just puddles of inspiration
Where the vast ocean once sprayed
An endless tide of moonshine
Swelled upon my parchment page
There's a brain sitting in a skull
There is a heart in a ribcage
There is ink in my fountain pen
But still no words on my page
Just embers of inspiration
Where a great fire once roared
I'll stoke it with those memories
I've been afraid of and ignored

Arrr me hearties,
This be the third release of Pirate Week. I was told to write something ultra epic, and so I did exactly that.
Sadly it won't reach FP since there is a already a lit. deviation there, but oh well; I had lots of fun writing it.
I love to write stories like this and narrate them to meself in a chain-smokin' narrator voice, it makes it sound all mystical and cool.
Anyhow, please enjoy it and I hope ye'll all continue ta enjoy tha fantasies ^^

Incredible imagery! It flowed perfectly to me... Made me think of the books I used to read years ago, but with more of the feeling of what my son is into now. I enjoy your work very much....a natural talent with a driven purpose to improve...what could be better?
